Reviewing and improving Market Square.

Colliers Project Leaders was engaged to provide a chiller plant survey and testing, an ASHRAE Level II Energy Audit, and to serve as LEED-O&M consultant for the Market Square facility. Market Square is a 14-story, 1,057,301 square feet multi-structure facility consisting of two identical buildings interconnected by a common concourse level. The purpose of the energy audit was to assess the facility’s energy cost and efficiency by analyzing energy bills and conducting a brief on-site survey. The intent of an ASHRAE Level II Energy Audit was to identify and provide a savings and cost analysis of low-/no-cost measures. It also provided a listing of potential capital improvements to be considered by the facility owner.

Components of the ASHRAE Level II Energy Audit included: energy usage analysis and consumption for the last three years; facility energy performance and building indexing; building documentation review and collection; building staff interviews; potential capital and low-cost facility improvements along with estimated initial cost and energy savings; facility walk-through survey summary analysis; and Building Management System (BMS) assessment.
