TKTS Duffy Square

Unique plaza project in Times Square.

This unique project in Times Square included the construction of an amphitheater-like glass staircase at the Father Duffy Monument comprised of red glass steps supported on glass stringers and spanning between load bearing walls, illuminated from within by red LEDs.

The TKTS Booth is a free standing, custom-fabricated fiberglass shell that sits below the steps and is visible through the glass walls. The remaining plaza is open, covered with granite pavers that rise and fall to the monument and have in-ground light fixtures. Geothermal heating and cooling systems will be visible through the glass, heating and cooling the steps seasonally.
