HVAC commissioning for a house of corrections project.

Colliers Project Leaders was engaged to provide commissioning services for the HVAC Upgrades at the Suffolk County House of Corrections. The House of Corrections remained occupied throughout construction.

The commissioning process for this project was developed according to the LEED process to meet the requirements for EA Prerequisite 1, Fundamental Commissioning and EA Credit 3, Enhanced Commissioning. As commissioning agent, we developed a detailed commissioning plan and schedule, created the owner’s project requirements, and reviewed the basis of design, design submissions, and shop drawings. In addition, our team was responsible for developing and verifying construction checklists, MEP testing procedures, and overseeing equipment start-up and functional systems testing.
